Responsibilities:

  • Provide Human Resources (HR) support to employees and leaders within Wolters Kluwer's Health/Clinical Effectiveness Division

  • Consult, advise and work daily with frontline management and employees on human resource topics

  • Implement, administer and contribute to the development of corporate and business unit-specific HR programs and initiatives

  • Help ensure compliance with HR-related federal, state, local and company policies and regulations

  • Develop strong relationships with the business through solid business acumen; respectfully challenge the business and offer solutions in the best interests of Wolters Kluwer while managing conflicts effectively within a matrixed organization

  • Proactively consult with management on HR topics and provide coaching and support to management around key people management activities including performance management, employee relations, talent management, learning and development, hiring and recruitment

  • Anticipate, identify and facilitate resolution of employee relations issues, conduct thorough investigations to gather all facts and make appropriate recommendations, seek guidance from the HR Director and legal counsel as appropriate and maintain detailed documentation to protect the interests of the company and mitigate risk

  • Partner with the shared service center and centers of excellence including compensation, benefits, talent development and others to implement corporate HR programs and initiatives

  • Review corporate HR programs for fit with the business unit's objectives in a timely manner and share data/make recommendations to improve programs or implementation of plans

  • Manage personnel costs by tracking headcount, helping to ensure the business hires top talent within budget and compensation decisions are approved through the appropriate channels

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five years of HR generalist or related HR experience in a fast paced, growth oriented global business; preferably within a software and/or global matrix company

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent HR work experience

  • Experience with several HR processes including talent management, compensation, benefits, training & development, and performance management

  • Confident and experienced in dealing with various types of employee relations issues, managing employee performance, coaching managers, and conducting internal investigations

  • Experience supporting various functions such as sales, professional services, customer support, operations, marketing and/or finance

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, as well as experience with PeopleSoft or other similar HRIS/ERP applications

  • Knowledgeable and/or experience in hiring best practices, rolling out HR programs, and immigration/visa related requirements

  • Ability to travel up to 20%
