The Sr. Director, Finance functions as the General Manager's business partner, working directly with him/her to drive growth both organically and through acquisitions, to plan the Operating Unit's future strategic direction, and to operate the $60M unit on a day-to-day basis.
Works in conjunction with Division and Corporate finance organizations to ensure accurate and appropriate treatment of all financial activities related to the business.
Acts in a fiduciary capacity for the maintenance of accurate accounting records. Analyzes and interprets statistical and accounting data and reports trends. Directs company financial organization.
Essential Duties and Responsiblities:
Serves as the analytical right hand to the General Manager, provides objective and accurate information on the operation and forecasts of the business, enabling the best decision making by the General Manager and the General Manager's direct reports.
The Sr. Director, Finance will lead the Budgeting and forecast process for each operating unit within CSS in collaboration with the general managers and other business stakeholders.
Prepares well crafted PowerPoint presentations that succinctly convey financial performance and projections for Budget, latest estimates, 3-year strategy projections and ad hoc business performance deep dives.
Works with the North American Accounting Center to ensure that the companies adhere to current accounting standards and are compliant with IFRS for revenue recognition, expenses and balance sheet items.
Analyzes and interprets financial information pertaining to the company's performance. Makes recommendations concerning business policy, resource allocation, and business operations to improve company financial performance. Alerts General Manager and other key executives and managers to trends in the financial performance of various segments of the business that may require management action.
Helps to steer the overall strategy and culture of the business as a member of the CSS Senior Executive Team.
Determines company requirements for financial analysis, planning, control, and reporting systems that adequately monitor and provide financial insight into the operation of company business and develops appropriate systems.
Forecasts capital requirements. Identifies and analyzes capital sources. Helps the organization make resource allocation decision using classic financial analyses such as ROI and DCF/NPV.
Provides analysis and leadership to ensure that we use pricing to our best advantage to drive revenue and profit
Ensures all other senior executives receive financial support as required for them to successfully manage their functions, including, budgeting support, expense analysis, financial modeling, and scenario planning and analysis, and other decision making support as needed.
Participates in the financial evaluation of acquisition/divestiture opportunities and develops recommendations concerning them.
Work with Project Management function to ensure alignment (on time/on budget) with business strategies. Analysis and evaluation of measures, metrics, thresholds, targets, status and results to drive performance in alignment with business strategies and initiatives.
Oversees plan design and execution/fulfillment of sales incentive compensation.
The Sr. Director, Finance is responsible for reviewing and signing all customer agreements. Their primary responsibility is to safeguard the company and to ensure that the business stays within company set guidelines for commercial and business terms.
Takes responsibility for all financial matters related to the Operating Unit, either managing them directly or by working closely with the Division finance staff.

Develops and maintains appropriate financial organization. Develops staff through continued learning and development and cross training of personnel to ensure growth in capability of the finance resources and a solid succession plan for the finance organization
Sr. Director, Finance position may include other duties as assigned
Will also include substantial involvement and responsibility for building communication to Division and Corporate such as three year development plans, quarterly forecasts, the annual Budget, and other monthly Division meeting presentations.
Bachelors degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance, related field or equivalent experience required
Minimum of 7 years' experience in senior financial role in a subscription based business model.
Strong team building abilities and skills; commitment to continuous quality improvement.
Proficient in Microsoft suite including Excel and Word. Proficiency in ERP accounting software such as Oracle, SAP, or NetSuite preferred.
Management of remotely located employees and teams residing in regional markets.
Experience working at an Operating Unit level within Corporation.
Experience working with Shared Service Accounting Structure.
Occasional travel as needed
