Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and guidance for architecting, designing, building, documenting and testing software solutions for the existing growth market product offerings as well as new Horizon 3 products

  • Lead and mentor the team's software development resources onshore and offshore in suitable software development disciplines and new technologies

  • Provide technical leadership and direction to software development staff, perform code reviews with other software developers

  • Own the delivery of products and features as defined by the product roadmap coordinated with Product Management

  • Work with the Engineering leaders of T360 and Passport Platform groups, as well as Product Management to determine the requirements necessary to deliver Growth Markets products

  • Support the delivery of core platform components if the roadmap requires and coordinate the delivery and configuration management with respective Platform teams

  • Adhere to the agile software development life cycle and architecture best practices governed by the Engineering Operations group and the Growth Products Architecture team respectively

  • Enforce efficient development practices across Engineering Growth Products organization

  • Understand and apply the organization's processes, procedures, design and coding standards which help ensure the delivery of quality product

  • Effectively deliver product fixes and service packs as required, as well as coordinate efficient and repeatable fix delivery cycles

  • Participate in the creation of project plans by providing work effort estimations and possess the ability to consistently deliver on defined dates

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of ten years of experience in a technology-based position, with at least seven years of experience managing a team and leading increasingly complex and challenging projects that have led to the delivery of technology solutions into business organizations

  • A minimum of eight years of mature language programing experience in both web and object-oriented environments

  • A minimum of five years of development experience in C#, ASP.NET and the .Net framework; or alternatively, Java server-side technologies (J2SE/J2EE)

  • At least three years of development and performance tuning experience in SQL

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience; Microsoft or Oracle professional certifications such as MCSD App Builder, Oracle Certified Professional/Master/Expert, Java SE/Java preferred

  • Experience providing informal technical guidance and leadership and conducting design and code reviews

  • Solid understanding of software enterprise architecture, the application of technology and full life-cycle software application implementations

  • Experience with release/deployment processes with a strong understanding and use of relational database methodologies and solutions

  • Strong code re-factoring skills with the ability to creatively design and implement software solutions in a high-energy, fast-paced, and Agile development environment

  • Experience in Agile/Scrum development practices, as well as experience developing web services or micro-service-based applications

  • Experience with Spring, Spring MVC, and Hibernate or NHibernate; Groovy, JRuby, Drools/Drools Flow, JBPM/JBOSS, as well as HTML5/CSS3 and related technologies

  • Mastery of Microsoft .NET and/or Java-based technologies and OOP, .Net framework, C#, SQL and performance-tuning of SQL Server 2008+ queries

  • Working knowledge and programing with Microsoft Azure, along with strong knowledge ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET WebAPI, WCF, WF, EF and/or TDD is a plus

  • Ability to travel up to 25% both domestically and internationally
