Wolters Kluwer Quality Analyst in Kennesaw, Georgia

Position Summary

As part of the Wolters Kluwer Quality Assurance team, you will conduct a wide range of quality-control tests and analyses with full competency to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and end-user requirements. You will be responsible for developing and executing manual and automated tests that provide maximum system coverage using UI and service level test strategies. You will work closely with testers, developers, project managers and product owners focusing on customer success.

Responsibilities

under moderate supervision, conducts a wide range of quality-control tests and analyses to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and end-user requirements. Executes moderately complex tests according to established plans and scripts, documents problems in an issue log, and retests software corrections to ensure problems are resolved. Creates test data files with valid and invalid records to thoroughly test program logic and verify system flow. Drafts and revises moderately complex test plans and scripts. Identifies, recommends and implements changes to enhance the effectiveness of quality assurance strategies. Assists in planning and scheduling testing.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field and 2-4 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance

  • Experience with writing automated scripts using C# .NET or other language

  • Experience implementing automated test frameworks using Selenium WebDriver

  • Experience working on a team following Agile practices and principles using Scrum

  • Strong proven experience in testing of multi-tiered web applications using all major browsers

  • Strong communication skills: Verbal, written, and reading comprehension

  • Strong troubleshooting skills

  • Must be self-motivated, self-disciplined and results-oriented

  • Ability to read and follow complex instructions

  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and display follow-through on tasks

  • 6+ years of experience testing complex n-tiered applications include applications hosted on-premises and in the cloud

  • Solid understand of:

  • computer networking

  • databases and database design

  • Software Development Life Cycle

  • Test automation architecture and development

  • Ability to think both logically and abstractly

  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced team environment, under time-sensitive deadlines

  • Ability to use reference materials to research technical issues

  • The ability to juggle tasks on multiple test projects concurrently

  • Ability to communicate solutions to complex technical subjects and explain them to others who are not technical in nature
