Wolters Kluwer Marketing Automation Specialist in Riverwoods, Illinois
The Marketing Automation Specialist is responsible for the management of the marketing automation platform Eloqua, from a programmatic and operational perspective. This critical role will manage the Eloqua platform, manage the Eloqua to Salesforce integration, and support the WK Legal & Regulatory organization with development of technology strategies, leadership of selected Salesforce & Marketing Automation technology projects, and hands-on participation as part of the Salesforce & Marketing Automation support team.
This role is a resource that hs superior marketing enabling technologies expertise, with a strong grasp of marketing principals, marketing automation tools, customer relationship management tools and best practices. This resource also requires strong analytical (business analysis) skills and good teaming skills.
This role will conduct and oversee business process analysis, process development, tracking, reporting and training. Analytical responsibilities include needs analysis, process analysis, requirements definition, solution configuration and customization recommendations and support for customer relationship management tools, specifically including Eloqua, Salesforce and related applications.
Specific Eloqua administration responsibilities include oversight of configuration changes, customizations, integrations, system documentation, and proactive monitoring and management of the system configuration and controls.
Design, develop and modify Eloqua and Salesforce systems.
Implement results of end user needs and process analysis to provide "best practice" configuration and customization of the core Eloqua solution

Participate in system capabilities extension design projects
Store, retrieve, and manipulate data for analysis of Lead-to-Cash metrics.
Ensure data integrity by monitoring data for accuracy and completeness
Work with data analysts to leverage analytics tools (Einstein Analytics, Tableau, others) for joining data from disparate sources to provide clear Lead-to-Cash data analysis
Oversee analysis of system performance and usage metrics to track trends
Consult with internal and external customers about Eloqua system design and maintenance.
Make process recommendations, based on trends/patterns/sequences discovered through consultation with end users and through data analysis
Help develop and monitor new operations policies and procedures
Supervise the work of programmers, technologists and technicians and other engineering and scientific personnel.
Work with Eloqua developers on system extensions, customizations and integrations
Work with Salesforce developers on system extensions, customizations and integrations
Work with Einstein Analytics developers on data integration, analysis and display
Modify existing Eloqua and Salesforce software and other related software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance.
Participate in Eloqua, Salesforce and other system process improvement activities
Act as a tier 2 point of contact and support for Eloqua and Salesforce users and tier 1 power users -- from that, collect error data & conduct error resolution
Develop and direct Eloqua software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation.
Define testing requirements and oversee testing efforts of Salesforce and Eloqua developers for system extensions, customizations and integrations
Participate in development and updates of training materials and communications to the user group
Support L&R Training & Development team to conduct training of Eloqua & Salesforce to users
Confer with systems analysts, engineers, programmers and others to design SF system and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.
Participate in regularly scheduled update meetings with Marketing, Sales & Product Management, and with IT to revisit application success factors and ensure incorporation of additional user requirements
Participate with cross functional teams and SFA Governance board to address strategic business issues involving Marketing Automation, SFA/CRM and sales & marketing operations
Analyze SF user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
Participate in end user needs and process analysis to provide "best practice" recommendations for implementation, tools, and customizations
Coordinate Eloqua, Salesforce and ancillary software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met.
Participate in Eloqua and Salesforce customization projects through their successful completion
Obtain and evaluate information on factors such as reporting formats required, costs, and security needs to determine hardware configuration.
Support Einstein Analytics dashboard development and reporting
Direct design of regular reporting for leads, sales opportunities and customers; ad hoc report creation as needed by Sales Management and Reps and other departments
Integrate data from multiple sources and systems to generate routine or ad hoc reports
Set up Marketing campaigns, campaign hierarchies, lead queues, assignment rules and Web-to-lead and auto response rules
Develop strong relationships with Marketing, Sales and executive management to ensure proper use of the application
Strive to be up-to-date in best practices, development methods and technologies
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
Education: Bachelors Degree OR equivalent
3+ years Marketing or Marketing Operations experience
1+ year of Eloqua administration experience
Strong knowledge of Marketing Automation data structure and functionality
Strong knowledge of Salesforce data structure and functionality
Proven track record of successfully applying formal process improvement methodologies to solve cross-functional business problems that have major business impact
Strong analytical, problem analysis and problem-solving skills
3+ years of experience with Eloqua, or equivalent Marketing Automation systems with experience in administration, development, configuration, customization and reporting
2+ years of experience with Salesforce, or a combination of Salesforce and other CRM platforms with experience in administration, development, configuration, customization and reporting
Reoccurring Revenue Business experience
Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:
Average proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Visio, Power Point and Outlook
Strong communications skills including the ability to facilitate meetings, prepare concise documentation, write business cases, prepare presentations, etc
Ability to develop strong relationships with people at all career levels and in various functional areas, e.g. sales, IT, marketing, etc
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Eloqua Administration Certification preferred
Salesforce Administration Certification preferred
Above average proficiency in MS Excel
