Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting North America is looking for a Strategic Solutions Consultant to join our Corporate Indirect Tax team in a home based office.

The Strategic Solution Consultant represents the entire range of company products and services to assigned Channel Partners. The SSC is responsible for identifying, recruiting, developing, and managing partners (reselling partners, referral partners, VAR's, ISV's, & SI's) for the CCH, Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting Preferred Partner Program. The SSC's will develop and drive pipeline while working with partners and cross-functional teams internally.

Responsibilities:

  • Executes overall strategy with key industry and partners, networks, etc.

  • Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in named Channel Partners.

  • Works closely with Divisional Sales Manager to identify, recruit, on-board, develop, and manage partners within your named accounts.

  • Develop an in depth understanding of partner's sales organization, products, strategies, and their customer value and go-to-market priorities. Partner with internal teams and execute on market strategy.

  • Define, drive, and communicate partner marketing positioning.

  • Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned Channel Partners.

  • Contribute to company-strategic Channel Partners planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones.

  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates Channel Partners needs on an ongoing basis.

  • Contributes details for solution development efforts that best address Channel Partners & market needs.

  • Ensures appropriate involvement of company personnel to meet member expectation.

  • Act as first pass filter for new market opportunities

  • Act as a trusted advisor to Channel Partners for CCH lines of business on strategic issues.

  • Works closely with Division Sales Manager, marketing, and sales to ensure maximum partner revenue potential.

  • Report partner related activities in CRM.

  • Manage partner opportunity pipeline.

  • Present to partners and attendees at trade events.

Education:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent required, Master's degree or equivalent preferred.

Experience: 7 years' experience including:

*Channel Sales and/or Channel Partner Management

*Strategic relationship management; specific business development experience a plus

*Strong demonstrable track record and results in Channel Partners management and 3rd party arrangements.

*Hands-on experience strategizing and negotiating complex deals.

*Proven ability to perform in a consultative, collaborative manner and engender trust and cooperation from colleagues and stakeholders; drives for collaboration in conjunction with shared goals & objectives, but not necessarily consensus

*Significant demonstrable technical knowledge

*Ability to work in a teaming environment with several internal and external stakeholders.

*Sound business judgment and flexibility to manage unexpected changes in business conditions and customer requirements; ability to make hard decisions around prioritization.

*Engaging operational style that builds and sustains credibility with staff, colleagues, clients and other stakeholders.

*Must be well-organized -- successfully implement strategies and ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously and remain focused

*Strong professional network with multiple industry, and technology communities

*Strong knowledge of major ERP, E Commerce, POS products.

Must be able to travel 60% of the time.
