The Technical Product Manager (TPM) is a key member of the Product Management team that helps shape strategy for our lending products (http://www.wolterskluwerfs.com/lending-origination/home.aspx). This is an exciting time to join us as we are launching a new product that will revolutionize our customers'/potential customers' lending origination process (Vanceo).
Collaborate with the Product Manager on strategy and vision, providing the Agile team(s) with clear vision, direction and priority of the release backlog
Clearly communicate the project vision at the beginning of every release and sprint
Establish actionable and measurable plans, working with all necessary internal teams to achieve the Release Plan for the product(s) based on an understanding and awareness of strategy and market vision
Understand execution challenges and make educated trade-offs best suited to exceed customer expectations
Works at the intersection of business, technology, and UX/UI design, representing the voice of the business and the end-users throughout product development
Creates user stories and acceptance tests from themes and features granular enough for a single sprint
Participates in regularly-scheduled demos, sprint planning and retrospectives
Conducts market research through customer interviews, industry events, focus groups and surveys
Establishes open lines of communication with customers to infuse the customer's voice directly into ideation and creation process.
Keep current with industry trends, our clients' needs and be aware of our competitors
Minimum of 5 years Technical Product Management experience
Minimum of 2 years in a Banking/Commercial Lending institution or experience in a Financial/Banking software company
Minimum of 5 years of Agile and SDLC experience. Work closely with Scrum Masters, Business Analysts and Developers/QA (on/offshore). Ability to lead cross-functional teams and third party vendors
Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, or related field
A demonstrated track record of leading medium to large-scale products from conception through continuous delivery, demonstrating multi-functional skills to make it successful
Ability to establish and manage projects and initiatives against a set of key metrics and goals.
Plan and complete work on tight deadlines and budgets; ability to work in an atmosphere of multiple projects and shifting priorities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong professional presentation skills and the ability to develop written proposals and client presentations
Familiarity with prevalent data analytics and BI tools (PowerPoint, Tableau...)
Familiarity with technologies such as HTML/XML/SQ/Excel, to the extent that you are able to quickly grasp technical limitations and estimations of work required, is generally helpful in this role
