Responsibilities:

  • Perform complex research and analysis of insurance statutory and regulatory materials used to prepare content that is used in the development and maintenance of our insurance compliance products

  • Produce accurate and comprehensive production submissions by identifying all regulatory actions within product scope

  • Respond to complex customer inquiries regarding product content and regulatory clarification often involving contact with individual State Insurance Departments and other agencies and coordinates responses to complex requests

  • Contribute significantly to the development and maintenance of our compliance-based products

  • Categorize regulatory content according to pre-set schemas using Web-based and other production tools

  • Review content developed by others for content accuracy and style

  • Identify trends in content areas and translates into new product development and existing product enhancement suggestions

  • Obtain and apply a working knowledge of current technologies in the specific business unit

  • Develop understanding of customer and market, applies this understanding to enhance products

  • Develop contacts and build relationships with state agencies and representatives of state legislative bodies

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years of practical experience in insurance or legal industry; compliance and regulation experience preferred

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience; legal education or J.D. preferred

  • Experience working with individual State Insurance Departments and insurance industry professional designations preferred

  • Strong practice systems development skills, as well as broad computer systems and applications knowledge

  • Strong analytical and organization skills with the ability to work in a team environment

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
