We are searching for an Inside Business Development Manager to join our team in Waltham, MA.
The Inside Business Development Manager focuses on building relationships with prospective institutional accounts. He or she will generate new sales opportunities from targeted academic institutions. This inside sales role is responsible for driving outbound calling and email efforts to generate, qualify and close new sales opportunities.
Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets
Identify and qualify new business opportunities within assigned territory
Effectively build and manage a pipeline of multiple prospects while driving assigned revenue goals
Present the value of our solution to a variety of stakeholders by phone and email - primarily senior decision makers and product champions
Deliver pricing proposals to prospective customers
Collaborate with supporting teams (IT, marketing, training, legal) to drive sales efforts
Accurately, and regularly, input account information, activity and new contact details, our CRM system (SalesLogix)
Provide an exceptional customer experience throughout the entire sales process
Experience and Qualifications:
4 year college degree or equivalent of work experience
Ideal candidates will be self-motivated and have a minimum of 3 years of professional inside sales experience
Proven track record of successful achievement against an individual quota
Experience selling to the academic or healthcare industry is a plus
Exceptional phone, verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated track record of success as an Inside Sales Rep
Has history of effectively establishing relationships with key contacts in customer accounts.
Good time management skills and ability to prioritize their work
Expertise in Microsoft packages (EXCEL, WORD, POWERPOINT)
